There are many community Chantey Sings in the Pacific Northwest. You can lead a song, join in on the chorus’ or just listen to songs of the sea as others sing work songs and stories, new and old.

Northwest Seaport Chantey Sing, Seattle, WA.

A rousing good time hosted on the 2nd Friday of each Month by Northwest Seaport. The location can vary but it is typically held on the Virginia V, near MOHAI in South Lake Union or nearby at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1215 Thomas St, Seattle. Port Townsend Shanty Sing, Port Townsend, WA.

On the 2nd Wednesday of each month a roguish crew gather at the Maritime Center on Water Street and sing to their hearts content.

Budd Bay Shanty Sing, Olympia, WA.

The first Sunday of the month, 7 to 9 pm’; in the winter the venue is at Mercato Ristorante, 111 Market St. NE. In the summer they gather to sing at the Boston Harbor Marina.

The Second Saturday Sea Song Singing Session, Richland WA.

Sea shanties have made their way inland to Richland, WA. Each month the Three Rivers Folklife Society hosts a sing. It is not entirely restricted to sea songs. The event begins around 7:00 PM, at Round Table Pizza, 1435 George Washington Way
